Web Hosting

Hello,

If you are planning on doing any business on the web, you need good web hosting. Below, the banner is for HostGator hosting. Here’s why I recommend them. They have an inexpensive plan which supports unlimited add-on domains. The plan really is dirt cheap. I have over 25 websites on one of my accounts. They also provide some nice extras like great stats pages for you to manage your traffic and automated installs of wordpress. The auto install of wordpress is a big deal if you plan on creating blogs which are very SEO friendly. I have several accounts with them. Click on the banner to see the available packages. I have 2 baby gator accounts and one reseller account.

My second recommendation for hosting is HostExcellence. I have two accounts with them. Their package is really nice because it assigns each of your websites a unique IP address. Why is this important? It is great because it keeps your businesses separate. If you create a website for sale, the IP neighbor snooping websites will show only your site for sale. This protects your other niches. Another very useful benefit of having different IP addresses is for linking purposes. On accounts where all your websites share the same IP (HostGator baby accounts, for example), linking from website to website would probably be flagged by the big G. That is a big no-no. So, for speedy web hosting with unique IP addresses, go with HostExcellence. Click on the banner below for more information.

There are many hosting options out there, so keep in mind the various features and levels of service. Both companies I recommended here because I use them every day. This blog is hosted on its own IP with HostExcellence, BTW.

Don’t know about the demo. I love cPanel, so I got the service right away. I now have 3 accounts with them and it is so easy to host the blogs you are flipping as you can give each blog it’s own cPanel with the reseller account. HTH.

Hi there. I have a great hosting plan with no hickups so far in 4 years.

I have unlimited everything for $77/yr.

However, I keep hearing about C-Panel.

    What is C-Panel.

I’ve got a great control panel with my host, including 5 minute w-press install. But what is c-panel?

I tried to install a free blog from Rob Benwell, but I couldn’t because it had no config.php file.

He recommended a host with c-panel.

So if anyone could give me a heads up on c-panel, that would be great.

    Thanks, Trevor

Oh, I forgot to ask if I need c-panel to use the blog flipping method.

    Thanks again, Trevor

cPanel is just the interface used to make modifications to your hosting. It allows you to set disk quotas, create email addresses, etc. Your host may have another admin interface. You can signup for a free hostgator trial account to see what cPanel is. The blog flipping method is independent of whether or not you have cPanel as your admin interface.
