Building Your Blog Empire – Part 3

In part 2 of the series, I advocated getting your research and domains in order first. I also mentioned that aging a domain is important. Here’s a shortcut: Go to a domain selling site like GoDaddy and find an aged domain that has at least some of the keywords you are looking for. Don’t spend too much, try to keep it under $100.

You can find domains over a year old with some PR for under $50. It is worth the investment.

Once all the domains are registered, put up your blogs using the automated fantastico install. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just get my ebook :) Anyway, don’t worry about content, just set the blogs up.

You can make this process easier. Here’s how I do it. I pick a bunch of adsense-friendly themes and create a folder on my hard drive named “themes upload folder”. I also go and take my favorite SEO plugins and create another folder called “plugins upload folder”. I update these folders as necessary.

Login to your hosting account with filezilla and upload the contents of these two directories into the appropriate folders in your WP installation. That’s it! Now you need to configure these plugins and you are all set. That’s all for now.

Building Your Blog Empire – Part 2

Hello again!

OK, in our first part of this series, we looked at our plan and decided that 10 blogs would fit our needs. How do we implement this plan? 10 blogs sounds like a lot! Well, you can approach this from two different angles.

The first angle is to do all 10 at once as fast as possible. The second angle is to put up one blog per month for 10 months. Each blog will get a full month of your attention.

I advocate doing the blogs all at once, sort of. Here’s what I would do: select all your niches and do the keyword research and register your domain names first. Then go ahead and run the automated WP setup and put all the login information in one safe place.

Here’s why I recommend this: Google and other search engines look at your website’s age very closely. You want those domains to age regardless of content. I have an idea that can also help here, but that is all we have time for today.

In our blog selling ebook, I outline the steps to get your niche, keywords setup, and all the nuts and bolts of creating your blog. Once you have the blog, what next. If you are trying to create a business, you will treat it as one. Here’s step one: make a plan. Yes, that’s right, make a plan. This post will focus on the plan.

I will start with your business objective. Are you going to try and make enough money to quit your job? Do you just want to make some money to buy things you want or go on vacation? Let’s say you want to make $3,000 a month. OK, that’s a reasonable goal. That’s roughly $100/day. In my experience, if you have an established blog, it is possible to bring in $10/day per blog. To meet your income goal, you will need 10 blogs. Not so bad, is it? OK, you will need to do the research on 10 niches and get everything setup.

Next time, we’ll go into getting those blogs up and running.

Can Twitter Help You Flip Blogs?

Today’s subject is about Twitter. Many of you are already signed up and sending tweets to your friends. That’s nice, but how is that making you money? Here’s a short plan that could actually help you flip your blogs even before they hit the auction site.

Setup a new twitter profile. Go find other Twitter users who have the same interests, Internet Marketing, etc. Follow them and follow their followers. If you weed out the ones not following you, your list can grow to the thousands. Here’s where it gets interesting.

Periodically send out tweets about the blogs you are creating. Tweet people to your articles about blogging and profiting from blogging. Every so often, send them to a description of a pre-auction blog sale. If they like it, you’ll sell the blog right away! Nice! What could be better than that? You could also sell article packs, etc. Be creative!

How I Make $0.00 Online – And How YOU Can Do It Too!

1. Never do any market research at all – there are plenty of rich and
stupid people that will buy your product anyway, just tell them to buy

2. Never bother with keyword research – people are typing all kinds of
words all the time in google, someone will type the exact first paragraph
on your website sooner or later

3. Don’t optimize your websites! Google will catch you and sandbox
your website the same second their spiders find that you optimized your
website for some keywords in order to cheat them. You can’t fool Google!

4. Don’t build links to your websites, not a single one! Latest research
has shown that more and more people play with typing domain names in
their browsers until they find one that exists. Clicking links is no fun any
more.

5. Always buy a domain name that makes no sense. Google rewards
meaningless domain names with highest PR!

6. Always copy/paste articles from other sites! Why is this important?
Well, if you have 100% original content your visitors will be forced to read
everything and they can forget to click the buy now button. If they, on
the other hand, recognise the content, they will jump over it and
immediatelly click the buy now button! Just this one secret can make you
a plenty of cold hard zeroes!

7. Don’t build a list! – if you build a list you must also give them
something for free – don’t be stupid!

8. If you happen to create a realy good product don’t sell it! Keep the
good ones for your self and sell only those that you have no use of at all.

9. Socialize, socialize, socialize! Spend as much time as you possibly
can on forums, youtube, myspace, twitter, facebook, boodledoodle,
chiihooo, … and never stop searching for more sites where you can
socialize! Dedicate at least 2 days a week to finding more social networks
and another two days(minimum!) to being there. Talk to everybody and
build your reputation, that’s a must!

10. Forget about English, write in Chinese! Yes, I know the learning
curve is somewhat steep, but in the long run you are a winner. Besides,
you can mix English and Chineese untill you master it. Like this : #^##

The above is my exact blueprint for making $0.00 each and every month,
like a clockwork.

You may ask yourself why am I giving away my best kept secrets. My
answer is very simple: I LOVE YOU!

And if you guys add more tips from your personal experience (user
generated content, hehe), we can make a joint venture and create an
info product together. Then we can sell Resell Rights and even Private
Label Rights, or why not break it down into smaller parts and create a
membership site? We can also blog about it! Make a video and spread it all
over the internet, the sky is the limit!

ADVANCED TIPS:

11. Pick a product on Clickbank, it doesn’t matter which one, just make sure
the CR is extremely low and nobody else promote it. Then run a PPC campaign
without keyword research (you already know that part) and bid very high!

12. To ensure the above tip takes effect, don’t create affiliate account on CB!
If you have one, delete it! Why let them profit from your efforts?

13. JV with newbies! They have no clue about marketing, no list, no money,
nothing. You can’t be cheated by someone who owns and knows nothing and they can’t
hurt your reputation by recommending your worse products to the crowd.

14. Buy Targeted Traffic and access to Bulk Email Blasters! They’ll send you tons of ‘hits’.

15. Join List Builder websites and allways purchase the OTO ( Diamond Account)! You will be able to send emails to 40 000 other sellers, so there’s no risk of making any money.

Have you been told that there is lots of money to be made with blogs? Well, you are correct, there is a lot of money to be made if you do it right. Creating blogs is really easy now. Most hosting providers have an automatic install process to get your blog created in minutes. It is this simplicity that allows you to make lots of money in a short period of time. You can create your blog, promote it, monetize it, and sell it. You can also keep the best performing blogs as a basis for your recurring income streams. Let’s get to the details.

Building Your Website – More Niche Ideas

When I talk about niches, I am talking about areas of interest. Examples include hobbies like stamp collecting, woodworking, sewing, model railroading, the list is endless. If you are building web sites for a living like I do, you need to select a niche that will bring in the bacon. Doing anything else is simply a waste of your time and energy.

So, how do I select a niche? I have so many ways of selecting niches, but let’s talk about one of my favorites. I go to the book store to do some of my niche selection. The book store is a rich place to mine topics of interest. They are all laid out for you in an easy to manage way. You may already be thinking about how I do it, but don’t jump the gun just yet! OK, here goes!

I head over to the magazine rack. It is always my first stop! Think about this for a moment. Do you see all those giant glossy publications? Do you think a publisher would spend their time and effort to print out over a hundred pages in glossy color if there was no money in it? Of course they wouldn’t! There are many favorites to choose from.

Let me start with fashion magazines. Women spend a lot of money on cosmetics and clothing. They also spend lots of time reading about how to attract the perfect mate. Already, I can see three broad topics and tons of focused niches here.

Don’t like fashion? OK, let’s talk sports. Men love sports. Some of my favorites include golfing, fishing, baseball, football, basketball, soccer and tennis. You can go anywhere from golf clubs to tennis shoes. Any one of those has specialties that can bring in the bucks. OK, I’ve given you some ideas that can take months to write about. Go out there and do it!

Building Your Website – Selecting a Niche

Many people are told that the way to riches on the Internet is by having a successful web site. That sounds great, but what should that successful web site be about? What should a person write about? These questions have answers but those answers depend on your goals, financial and otherwise.

Let’s take a moment to define the term niche. The term niche is often used in many ways not relevant to us. When Internet Marketers talk about niches, they are talking about tightly focused areas of interest. An example of a niche is fly fishing in South Dakota. The more specific the niche, the better your chance of ranking high in the search engine results for your niche. If your niche is too focused, you will have no visitors. You have to walk the line and it takes some practice to get it right.

So how do we find the perfect niche for our website? Well, it depends on the reason you are building your website. If you are sharing ideas on a hobby or area of interest of yours, you already know the topic. Simply write about your passion. Most professional Internet Marketers don’t use this approach when building money sites. Let’s assume that you are building a money site. How do we select a profit generating topic for our new web site?

Go where the money is! People spend a lot of money for certain things. Just think about it for a minute. You have friends and family. What are the biggest purchases they have made in their lives? Home and family, insurance, jewelry (engagement ring, wedding ring as examples), the list goes on and on. Just look around you and think of things that everyone buys. How Can My Website Make Money?

How can my website make money? Wow, I get this question so often that I thought I would post a simple answer here. If you are building niche websites or even hobby websites that rank well and get traffic, the most basic and easy way to make money is through Google Adsense. Google Adsense places advertisements on your website that are relevant to your site’s content. Every time someone clicks you get money.

Although it sounds easy, it is a little more involved than that. For instance, when I got started, nobody bothered to tell me that there were niches paying over $1/click! Nobody told me there were niches where $10/click is commonplace! I have a little fish hobby website that gets over 3,000 unique visitors each month. Guess what? Some of these clicks are below $0.01 and most are $0.03! Yikes! Go ahead and do the math. Suffice it to say that you need thousands of websites to make money with this set of keywords.

I noticed that the best way to make money with niche websites (this is my observation, YMMV) is to have your own product. If it is under $10, you can easily best any Adsense earnings. I also, incredibly enough, noticed that in some niches, a PayPal donate button will actually outperform Adsense AND affiliate ads! Strange but true.
